Hummingbirds are the smallest birds in the world and, at the same time, more recognizable than many native species. Their popularity is undoubtedly connected with their heart-warming appearance and small size. However, when designing the Aves collection, Anna Orska focused on another unusual feature of these birds. The timid hummingbirds move so fast that they can almost hang in the air, making dynamism seem static. The designer decided to reverse this effect. Birds of heaven are rendered in brass in two dimensions, creating minimalist shapes reminiscent of the outline of a bird observed against the sunlight. Static forms of earrings, pins and necklaces give the illusion of movement thanks to capturing the contours at a right angle. Pendants swaying on chains of necklaces and bracelets reflect the rays of the summer sun and make you think of flowers in tropical forests and islands.
